A Southern Planter's Daughter rag doll pattern
The design for this pattern was inspired by the dolls made by Roxanne Cole (1825-1907). She was a talented and gifted doll maker whose skill at doll making helped to support her family after the Civil War in her home state of Arkansas. The dolls party frock is based on a Godey's Lady's Book fashion plate from 1860. The pattern includes detailed construction notes and illustrations to make the doll and her dress.
